Started as a Father & Son venture to produce the areas top show bicycle in a city which at the time knew nothing about the customized Low Rider bicycles built for years already on the West Coast. With the Fathers many years of experience in the custom motorcycle field and a custom street low rider already under the Sons belt the previous summer, the build for a top show low rider bike was on. This bike known as “CHILDS PLAY” was first completed for the local Custom Car Show in early 1995. The positive response from the public towards the bicycle build was overwhelming. In Spring of 1995 the decision was made to take a portion of the current motorcycle paint shop and convert it over to a small retail area. Stocking some of the flashy new bicycle parts the area was starting to look for. Fantasy Toys Custom Bicycles was now born.
Starting with a handful of Low Rider bicycle parts and one complete Low Rider bicycle, we quickly cemented ourselves as the premier Low Rider bicycle shop in the Cleveland area. We soon partnered ourselves with some of the best suppliers and parts pioneers in the Low Rider bicycle field. We now could offer a large selection of not only mass produced chrome and gold tone parts but also truly hand built custom parts utilizing our connections. We would later become instrumental in helping suppliers develop some parts that are still available for use in today’s current Low Rider and Cruiser bicycle market.
In 2000 we entered the fast growing online marketplace to assist others across the country with building their dream bicycles. The next year we would move from our small retail store into its current location answering the need of more room for customization and a larger showroom area.
Since inception we have participated in competitions across the country with both personal and customer owned bicycles. Bringing home many awards for our work along they way. We pride ourselves in being one of the few “One Stop Shops” currently performing around 90% of the services offered in house. Services ranging from sales of basic Low Rider, Chopper, and Beach Cruiser bicycles with prefabricated parts to designing & building one-off custom bicycles and various custom accessories. We use the parts we sell daily and because of this have knowledge of what parts work together or what problems may arise in a project. This is important as many web stores may know nothing about what items they sell except for the part order number.
